Lan Anh Hotel is on De Tham Street, in the Pham Ngu Lao part of District 1, where cafés and restaurants are never far from the entrance. Highlands Coffee, Republic and Siam Juice Bar are all 50 m from the hotel, and so is the Nhà Hàng Hương Việt Vietnamese Aroma restaurant. The Chùa An Lạc pagoda is 100 m away, and September 23 Park, 150 m away, offers a green spot for a break between sights.
Transport links are close. Bến xe buýt Sài Gòn bus station is 450 m away and Ben Thanh Station, a central rail station, is 550 m, both within about a ten-minute walk. Saigon Railway Station is 2.3 km from the hotel and Tan Son Nhat International Airport is 5.5 km, so for the airport a taxi or the airport shuttle, arranged at the front desk for a fee, is the practical choice.
Ben Thanh Market, 650 m away, is one of the city's best-known covered markets for food, crafts and souvenirs, roughly ten minutes on foot. The Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum is 650 m from the hotel too, and Independence Palace, the former presidential palace, is 950 m away. In the evening, the Bui Vien walking street in the Pham Ngu Lao backpacker area comes alive after dark, and it is a short walk from the hotel.
